ABOUT THE ARTWORK

“Mills in the Evening Mist” is an intimate study of a rural landscape, where the classic motif of Dutch windmills meets the warm, saturated palette of twilight.

The artwork plays on the contrast between the dark, distinct silhouettes of the mills and the soft, radiant light of the setting sun. The edges of the canvas (top, left, and right) are painted in the tone of the composition. The entire surface is secured with a final varnish that protects the colors and brings out their depth.
